I chose to order an Alu-Dibond wall decor, from Saal Digital, this is a product that I have never used before.

Alu-Dibond is a panel that consists of two aluminum sheets with a polyethylene core, which makes the artwork, strong and durable, you have the option of including wall fixings with your product, I chose not to have this, as I want to frame the art work.

Below is a quote from the Saal Digital website, where they describe the printing process, the print quality is outstanding and finished to a very high standard.

The print has an impressive saturation and colourfulness with high resolution and sharpness. It is realized through the newest direct UV printing with 6 colours instead of 4, including light inks, and sixfold UV cure. Even large and monochromatic areas are resplendent in saturated colours and absolute subtlety and fineness.

The image below shows the quality of the packaging, the art work, is laid on foam, backed by 3 layers of corrugated card, shrink wrapped, then packaged again in string corrugated card, it arrived in perfect condition.

This is another altered print, that was soaked in sea water, again challenging to keep the vibrant colors, and detail in the printing, I’m very impressed with the quality and service from Saal Digital.

Here’s a close-up section of the busiest part of detail…

I can’t grumble, the service, quality of product, packaging, and delivery were above and beyond from Saal Digital, overall the product is something I would offer my clients and would recommend to other professional photographers, I will use Saal Digital for future printing.

Photo Books by Saal Digital

Saal Digital offer HighEnd photo products with brilliant quality, they are a professional photo lab with great enthusiasm for photography.

I chose to have a flexible photo book printed, The square format is excellent for images in both landscape and portrait formats. Images can be perfectly presented.

I opted for a 19×19 format book, with an unpadded, glossy cover, with a square image, printed on the front and back cover of the book, set against a black background.

The software is very simple to use, you can upload your own layout, or use the templates provided, with ordering and payment facilities built in.

Delivery was very speedy, efficient with excellent tracking and packaging.

The quality of the photo book was outstanding, the print finish was perfect and really set the images off, the thickness of the paper, was of a better standard than other products that I have used in the past.

This is a lay flat book (its means the book opens flat, for better viewing of the images) which is perfect if you want to display your images at full bleed.

I chose images that I knew would be hard to print (the images have been manipulated by soaking them in sea water, this causes a distortion in the image and pigments) the colour representation was spot on when compared with the original prints.

This product I would happily recommend to clients, photographers, friends and family. I would also use Saal Digital products again in the future, I can’t find any faults with their service or quality of products, for me, I give them 10/10!

Birnbeck Pier is unique in that it is the only pier in the UK joining the mainland to an island. The Pier is Grade II* listed and is on the Heritage at Risk register.

The pier was designed by Eugenius Birch and opened on 5 June 1867, this year will be the 150 Anniversary, celebrations will be taking place over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th June, at Pier View, Weston-Super-Mare (Map).

The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust has long campaigned for a revival of the Birnbeck area since 2004 it has actively worked towards achieving its aim.

Preserving for the benefit of the people of Weston-super-Mare, and the Nation, the natural, historical, architectural and constructional heritage of Birnbeck Pier and Island, together with associated buildings and structures, and the land and buildings adjacent and above the shoreline

If you would like to support, volunteer or help in some other way, please contact the Trust using this email volunteer@birnbeckregenerationtrust.org.uk or visit here for more information.

This image is looking back towards Pier View, on the mainland, from the edge of the main jetty (Pier, which is Grade II* Listed), on Birnbeck Island, you can clearly see, how dangerous the jetty is, due to rotting, warped weathered planks on the walkway.
